'It's like they never miss a pass': The Swans' Galbraith continues clash with Pep's side.

Ethan Galbraith grins broadly as he recalls the thrilling closing stages of his team's remarkable turnaround triumph against Nottingham Forest in the League Cup. The game ended with Galbraith picking up a spectator's eyewear amid the on-field celebration.

With the clock ticking into the 97th minute, Galbraith struck the post with a speculative effort from outside the box, and his teammate immediately hammered in the loose ball before racing off toward the crowd to mark the goal, with fans swarming the players.

Stunning Reversal

This sealed an extraordinary recovery given Swansea had been behind 2-0 deep into the latter period. In the delirium, there was some unintended consequences. He shared, "There was a fan trying to get our attention and we were thinking: 'What's he on about here?' Then we saw the glasses. It was a light-hearted moment putting them on. We are on the pitch as athletes but we're people, too, so to have a bit of craic with the fans is always good."

Premier League Giants

The victory earned a fourth-round fixture at home against the Premier League champions on Wednesday, opponents Galbraith ran close at the same stage of the FA Cup with his former club in February. The athletic midfielder had a prime vantage point when the underdogs took the lead in spectacular fashion, with Jamie Donley's volley from about 45 yards going in via the crossbar and the opposition keeper. It feels criminal that it was recorded as an own goal.

"You would have hoped they would've given it to him for having a go from that distance," commented Galbraith, who started in midfield before shifting to right flank after Orient changed shape. That meant competing with Jack Grealish, with whom he swapped shirts, and the winger was among the Manchester squad who complimented the way Orient attacked the game.

City's Quality

"Fitness-wise they are outstanding but even the simple things and simple things, they can just execute repeatedly," the midfielder notes. "It appears that they never miss a pass and they understand how to control and neutralize a game. You can think you're all right and then without warning they will just fizz a pass through a line without you even noticing. You have to be alert throughout of the game. It takes a tough attitude and concentration just to remain competitive."

Welsh Transition

The club were keen on Galbraith in January and beat off competition to sign him in the summer in a seven-figure transfer. He made a name as a fans' favourite across a couple of years at his former club and has quickly achieved similar status in his new home. At his previous team he linked up again with the coach, who earlier gave Galbraith his initial sustained opportunity in senior football on loan at a League One side from Old Trafford. Then came a spell at fourth-tier the Manchester club, before he departed Manchester United.

Growth Journey

"I was perhaps a slightly green going into professional soccer. I think numerous professionals would say under-23s football is entirely separate. Sometimes it seems the ball is moved without serious challenge. You see few physical contests. Once you start playing men's games you have to learn quickly."

National Team Success

He has demonstrated that maturation for club and country, performing well for his national side, who remain in contention for the international competition next summer via the playoffs and for whom he has been selected in the past five games, including both legs encounters against a football powerhouse. His former international manager, Galbraith's former international manager, paid him the highest praise, saying he was Northern Ireland's "midfield general" given how he handles the football and his ability to spot a killer pass.

Early Days

This represents quite the ride for the youngster from the neighborhood in his hometown, just outside the capital, who was raised observing his parent, the elder Galbraith, also a central player, play for a local club.

Manchester United Experience

His single match for United came in Kazakhstan in 2019, a Europa League trip to the host city, where they played on an plastic turf and the venue ceiling was sealed owing to the weather of freezing cold. "This represented a lengthy journey and it was freezing," he recalls, grinning. "The preceding week, the academy prospects practiced as a group, so that assisted our preparation. Just to accompany the senior squad and make an appearance at the end was amazing."

Leaving United

How difficult was it to move on from Old Trafford, the club he signed from his boyhood team aged his mid-teens? "It was quite easy, because I reached the point where I understood I wasn't going to make it at the top level. I'm extremely thankful for the time I spent there but it reached a stage where I believed I required a fresh start, join a smaller club and play men's football. Now I'm steadily climbing the ladder."

New Environment

This occurs during mid-afternoon at the club's training ground but Galbraith has a commitment at the early evening: a learner's exam, another move in the direction of getting on the road. Prior to relocating to his new neighborhood, the mid-twenties player was a constant rider in Swansea's dubbed team minibus, a minibus driven by academy staff, the drivers, which transports players to and from sessions and fixtures.

"It's myself the Portuguese player, the Brazilian, Malick Yalcouyé – a former passenger used to be in it but has begun using his own car. It's pleasant to socialize with the teammates but I'm planning to be the following person to drive independently and on the road. The Portuguese player likes to pull a few pranks; he's always up to all sorts."

Public Engagement

When he represented Orient, Galbraith would travel alongside fans on London's Central line after beginning his trip at the area he lived in. "I tried|I attempted|My aim
